English question: should it be "Submit date" OR should it be "Submission date":..? Why?

I'm making a fill-up paper for a company and one of the lines says submit date.. and i Think its grammatically incorrect tosay submit date. it must be submission date right?|||Submission date would be grammatically correct, submit date doesn't work. Date of submission also works.|||Submit is a verb. "Submit date" is a command, telling you to submit a date for something.

Submission date would be the date that something is submitted to somebody.|||Do you mean that you are creating a form for a company? If so, "date of submission" or just "Date" are better. If you are filling out a form created by the company, I'd think twice about dealing with it.
