Is it possible that I am asked to submit US immig visa docs for even if my priority date is not yet current?
I'm from the Philippines. I was asked by my petitioner's lawyer to submit US immigrant visa application documents (birth certificate, police clearance, etc.) and sign the visa application form but when I checked the US Visa Bulletin, my priority date is not yet current. I'm just worried that I might be expecting visa interview soon (They say 3-5 months after document submission) when in truth, I still have to wait for a long time.|||can't really say without the specifics, i.e. what visa classification and what priority date. however, it's possible that the attorney believes the petition will become current in a little while and he wants you to be ready. considering that the police clearance is only good for a year, I don't know what else to think.
